Our children are of the utmost importance to Sojourn. More than being people to babysit, they are the next generation of disciplers. Because of that, we desire to teach all of our children the gospel of grace that is told through the overarching story of the Bible that stretches from Genesis all the way to Revelation. Each week, children ages 0 years – 5th grade will be pointed to Jesus through teaching, through crafts, and through song.
We also take our children’s safety seriously. All of our children’s volunteers have passed a national background check. Every classroom is a “closed area” where only screened workers are allowed. Parents are required to check each child in and out. Children will not be released to anyone but a parent/guardian. In addition, our check-in system allows for notification of parents in case they are needed during the service.
What curriculum do you use? Our children are currently working through The Gospel Project for Kids (http://www.gospelproject.com/kids). It is “a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before!”
How can I serve? If you are interested in serving with the children’s ministry in any capacity, contact Michelle Shults at email@example.com.
